I used frozen raw sausage patties. We like ours really done. I thawed them in the microwave for 3:15, could probably have gone less. I have a 3-qt Nuwave fryer so the patties had to overlap. I cooked them on 400 for appr. 5 minutes, turning once. As they cooked they shrank so they no longer touched when I flipped them, I cooked them an additional 3 min. and they turned out perfectly, dark brown and very crispy. And the best part is no splatter on my glass stove top. For those wanting sausage gravy, just pour the grease, bits into a frypan and make your gravy.

The sausage came out perfectly cooked but my smoke alarm went off a couple of times. I used my basket fryer. Next time, I will try the Vortex Plus
