Bok Choy is a type of cabbage that can be eaten raw but is usually cooked. It has a white stalk and green leaves with thick, crunchy stalks. Bok choy is high in vitamin A and C. It has a sweet flavor and soft texture when cooked. Some people call bok choy “Chinese cabbage” or “white mustard.” You can eat it on its own as a salad or cook it to make stir-fries, soups, sauces, side dishes, etc.
Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Baby Bok Choy
- Bok Choy
- Oyster Sauce
- Chicken Broth or Water
- Peanut Oil
- Minced Garlic
How To Make Air Fryer Baby Bok Choy
Separate the stems from the leaves, and I just used a knife to cut the stem off. Place the bok choy into a small bowl and then wash it well. Then after the bok choy is cleaned, add the oyster sauce, chicken broth, peanut oil, minced garlic, and salt. Making sure that the leaves are well coated.
Plug the air fryer in and then set the grill function. You need to warm the grill up, but the machine will tell you to add food once it’s warmed up enough.
Add the bok choy. Set the timer for 10 minutes. Toss the bok choy every few minutes. So it doesn’t char.
Preparing Large Bok Choy:
One of the most important things to do when making bok choy is to clean the leaves since you will often find some soil on them. Rinse them under cold water, and then dice them into smaller pieces.
You can either use the root or dispose of them. If you want to freeze the roots, you can often add them to soups and other stir-fry dishes.
Preparing Baby Bok Choy:
Baby Bok Choy is a versatile vegetable; you can either eat the entire vegetable or cur them up. Either way will work in the air fryer.
Wash the entire Baby Bok Choy, and then leave whole or dice, depending on what you will be doing with the vegetable.
