How To Make Air Fryer Sour Cream Lemon Cake
To make Air Fryer Sour Cream Lemon Cake, follow these simple steps:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs to the sugar/butter mixture, then mix in the flour, baking powder, salt, zest, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, and sour cream. Mix well.
Using non-stick cooking spray, spray an air fryer safe pan, and pour the batter into the sprayed pan. Set the air fryer safe pan with the cake mix inside and put it into the air fryer. Set the time for 12 minutes at 320 degrees F.
Note: Check the cake. Is it done? When the cake is made, remove it from the oven and let it rest on the counter for frosting/decoration. If it still needs to be cooked, add another 5 minutes and check it. If not, continue to cook until it is fully cooked.

What type of pans can you use in the air fryer? There is nothing that you can not use in the air fryer. You can use cake pans, oven-safe glass pans, baking pans, etc.
The key is to use the correct pan in the air fryer; you can not use a too thick pan. Otherwise, the cake will not bake correctly. Today, I used this pan for my cake, which worked fabulously! Fat Daddio’s POB-12163 Anodized Aluminum Sheet Cake Pan, 12 x 16 x 3 Inch
Can I bake a cake in my air fryer? Yes, it’s a great and easy way to make an assortment of cakes and other baked goods in the air fryer.
Can baking paper, called parchment, be used in an air fryer? Baking paper is generally safe in the air fryer. The issue usually arises when the parchment paper does not balance, and the fan causes it to fly into the heating element. This might become a safety concern, so make sure that you watch your cake as it bakes.
How long does it take to bake a cake in the air fryer? The timing will depend on the cake pan’s size; obviously, larger pans will take longer to bake in the air fryer, just like an oven. Make sure to cook the cake before removing it fully. Place a toothpick into the center of the cake to see if it’s fully cooked.
How do you bake with an air fryer? You will prepare the baked goods batter precisely as you would if the cake, cookies, brownies, or other items went into the oven. Except you would adapt the recipe to the air fryer.
How do I convert cooking times for an air fryer? I tend to cook baked goods in the air fryer at lower temperatures, between 300 and 330 degrees F. Use the air fryer setting for all recipes. The lower temperatures tend to bake the cakes, brownies, etc., all through, without burning the top.
