Each bite is a little piece of heaven with the perfect balance of salty and sweet. These cookies are so rich and decadent, you’ll need to make a double batch!

The recipe comes from my mom who has been making them for as long as I can remember. They’re always my favorite cookie even though they have chocolate chips in them- something that’s usually reserved for oatmeal or peanut butter cookies!

For all of you who love salty and sweet, these cookies are for you! I used a mixture of butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and sea salt to create the perfect balance. Then, I added chocolate chips to make this cookie even sweeter. These cookies will be your new go-to recipe when it comes to dessert time. The best part is that they take less than 15 minutes from start to finish!

How To Make These Cookies Gluten-Free:

This is an easy recipe to change out a couple of ingredients to make a homemade Gluten-Free Cookie in the Air Fryer:

Flour:

For the flour, I recommend King Arthur’s Gluten-Free Flour, which I have been using for years with my oldest son if I find that the flour’s consistency produces a better-baked good.

Gluten-Free Baking Soda:

For best results, use a gluten-free baking soda. I recommend using Relative Foods Baking Soda.

How Many Cookies Can I Bake In The Air Fryer?

Baking cookies in the air fryer is a fabulous way to save time and energy. Air frying allows you to cook with little or no added oil, making it a healthier alternative for cooking your favorite holiday treats.

It can be difficult to find out how many cookies will fit into the fryer at one time without actually trying it yourself since it will depend on what air fryer you own. And remember not to crowd your cookies. So they can bake up perfectly!

My two favorite things are in cookies, caramel, and chocolate chunks. The air fryer does a great job of making cookies. The exact time will depend on your model of the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup caramel bites, diced

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the brown sugar and butter, mix in the egg.
  • Slowly fold in the flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract, mix well. Slowly fold in the chocolate chunks and the diced caramel bites.
  • Shape the dough into about 1 inch balls. Use your hands to flatten them as you place them on a parchment paper-lined air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes at 320 degrees F (air fryer setting)
  • Continue until using all your batter up.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
