Which Cut of Beef Should I Use?

When it comes to the best cuts of meat for making Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, ribeye, and flank steak top our list.

Ribeyes are typically used because they have well-marbled tissue that offers incredible tenderness when cooked. The key to using ribeyes is to remember to cut against their grain.

Other steak varieties such as skirt steak, round tip, and even hanger steak can also be used.

The Best Cheese for Philly Cheesesteak:

To top off your Philly Cheesesteak, the most popular cheeses are mild provolone or white American.
