Air Fryer Lemon Scones

Air Fryer Lemon Scones — The delicious and sweet lemon scones are perfect for any time of the day. With a moist, fluffy texture, these scones will be your new favorite breakfast or snack. When I saw how easy it was to make them in my air fryer, I knew that every kitchen should have one!

Air Fryer Lemon Scones

Everyone who knows me knows I love a good scone. I think my obsession started when I lived around the corner from King Arthur Bakery in Vermont. Since I lived so close, you just had to go there, like every day, and get something baked because it is all amazing. Today, I didn’t have time to bake a scone, so I reached for a lemon cake mix in my pantry and created these easy Air Fryer Lemon Scones.

So, before I started, I wanted to mention to you that using a cake mix. It only means that you are using a bunch of ingredients already mixed for you.

If you look at a box of cake mixes, they have ingredients such as flour, baking soda, vegetable oil shortening, and other ingredients. This means you already have a base of flour, sugar, baking soda, and fat, either vegetable shortening or corn syrup. This will depend on what cake mix you are using.

So, today I used a box of lemon cake mix, which means it has some ingredients for making your cake mix taste lemony. This recipe, it will make your lemon scones taste lemony.

How To Store Scones

Scones are a delicious breakfast treat. But, what is the best way to store them, so they don’t go stale?

Store: Let the scones cool to room temperature and then place them into an airtight container. They will last about 2 to 3 days at room temperature.

Freeze: This is a great recipe that you can make ahead of time and freeze. Let the scones cool to room temperature, and then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. And place the baking sheet into the freezer. Freeze until frozen solid, and then remove and place into a freezer-safe container or a freezer bag. For best results, let the scones thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Reheat: You can either reheat in the air fryer or the microwave, heat until warmed through.

How To Serve

The scone is a quintessential British food, traditionally served plain or with a sweet topping. Some great suggestions are:

  • Clotted Cream
  • Lemon Curd
  • Butter
  • Jam

What Scone Pans Can You Use In the Air Fryer?

Scone pans are a great way to make delicious scones. However, not all scone pans will work in the air fryer! Make sure you know what kind of pan works best for your machine before you start cooking.

Two of my favorite Air Fryer Scone Pans are:

Baking Molds Triangle Cavity Silicone 8 Red Silicone Portion Cake Mold Soap Mould Pizza Slices Pan/Scone Pan/Combread Brownies Muffins Mold: This pan can be used in an air fryer basket. Since it’s made of silicone, you can easily cut the molds out, which will fit any air fryer. (This one is great for any Air Fryer Basket and will fit any model)

Artisanal Kitchen Supply 9″ Cast Iron Preseasoned 8 Section Corn Bread Pan, Black: This is an excellent scone pan. I had it for years of making scones in my oven. It fits my air fryer oven and produces perfect scones. (This one is perfect for any air fryer oven or larger air fryer oven model)

How To Make Lemon Scones In The Oven

Lemon scones are a simple and delicious treat that can be made in the oven. They’re great for making with kids, too! The first step is to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
