What Are Scones?
Scones are a light; layered pastry often served with tea. They are easy to make and require few ingredients. There are three basic types of scones: drop, rolled out, and cut-out.
Each type is made by combining the dry ingredients in one bowl then adding butter or another solid fat before mixing in milk or cream to form a dough that can be dropped onto a baking sheet or rolled into a round shape before cutting it into wedges baking.
Depending on your tastes, scones can be sweetened with sugar or flavored with dried fruit, nuts, spices, chocolate chips, or other add-ins!
They bake up perfectly in the air fryer! Light, fluffy, and delicious!

How To Make Air Fryer Apple Pie Scones

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon. Add the cold butter and work it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse sand. Add the egg and applesauce, and with the help of a wood spatula, stir until roughly combined. The mixture should barely stick together.

Transfer to a roughly floured surface and shape into a 6-inch wide dish. With the help of a knife, cut out the scones. You should get between 6 to 8, depending on the size.

Spray with cooking spray and place into the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

They’re perfect for breakfast or as a side dish for dinner!
How To Reheat Scones In The Air Fryer
The air fryer is a great way to reheat scones and other similar baked goods without the need for an oven.
To reheat in the air fryer, place individual scones in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper, about 3 inches from one another. Set your timer to 5 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit and enjoy!
