Easy Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry Recipe Tips

  • Use Bite-Sized Pieces: Cut chicken into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • Choose Crisp Veggies: Bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, and carrots hold up well in the air fryer.
  • Don’t Overcrowd: Cook in a single layer for even browning; do batches if needed.
  • Adjust Sauce Sweetness: Add more honey or soy sauce to balance flavors to your taste.
  • Thicken Sauce Gradually: Mix cornstarch with water first and stir in slowly to avoid lumps.
  • Add Heat: Sprinkle chili flakes or a dash of sriracha for a spicy kick.
  • Serve Immediately: Stir fry tastes best fresh; leftovers can be reheated but vegetables may soften.

Storing, Freezing & Reheating Instructions

  • Storing: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or the air fryer to maintain the texture of the vegetables.
  • Freezing: Freeze cooked chicken stir fry in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
  • Reheating: Reheat on the stovetop over medium heat or in the Ninja Foodi on the sauté setting, stirring occasionally until heated through. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it can make vegetables soggy.

Notes

Recipe Notes:
  • You can serve your stir fry over a bed of white rice or some ramen noodles.
  • Make sure that your cornstarch is completely dissolved in the sauce before adding it to the chicken and veggies.
  • We usually just grab a bag of frozen stir fry veggies from the store for this recipe. You can add them to the air fryer basket frozen.
  • You can easily make this recipe gluten free by using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. The flavor will be exactly the same.
  • Store any leftover stir fry in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can reheat a serving of stir fry in the microwave for about 1 – 1 ½ minutes. I recommend covering you stir fry with a paper towel so the sauce doesn/t spatter.
  • If you have fresh garlic then you can use 3 cloves of freshly minced garlic instead of garlic powder.
