  • Rolled Oats: Use rolled oats as the base for a hearty and chewy cinnamon roll oatmeal that cooks evenly and holds its texture well.
  • Brown or Coconut Sugar: Sweeten the oatmeal with brown or coconut sugar for a rich, caramel-like flavor that enhances the cinnamon roll experience.
  • Ground Cinnamon: Add ground cinnamon to infuse the oatmeal with the warm, spicy flavor of classic cinnamon rolls.
  • Baking Powder: Incorporate baking powder to give the oatmeal a light and fluffy texture, mimicking the rise of traditional cinnamon rolls.
  • Salt: A pinch of salt balances the sweetness and brings out the depth of flavor in the oatmeal.
  • Milk: Use milk to create a creamy and smooth consistency in your cinnamon roll oatmeal.
  • Egg: Adding an egg helps bind the ingredients together and adds richness to the oatmeal.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract: Enhance the flavor with pure vanilla extract, which complements the cinnamon and sugar beautifully.
  • Almond Butter: Swirl almond butter into the oatmeal for a nutty flavor and added creaminess.
  • Maple Syrup: Drizzle maple syrup over the oatmeal for a touch of natural sweetness and a hint of maple flavor.
  • Hot Water: Use hot water to help dissolve and combine the dry ingredients smoothly with the oats.

How To Make Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal

Here are the simple steps:

Add wet and dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl, egg on top.

Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Stir together rolled oats, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Next, mix in milk, egg, and vanilla extract and mix until ingredients are well combined.

Place container of cinnamon roll oatmeal in air fryer basket, being careful not to crowd the air fryer.

Prepare Oven Safe Containers: Divide the mixture evenly into three ramekins.

Air Fry: Air Fry each ramekin in the air fryer at air fryer temperature of 320 degrees F (160˚C) with a cooking time of 8-10 minutes until the top is golden. Allow 5 minutes to cool before topping.

Make The Topping: Make the cinnamon swirl by combining almond butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and water in a small bowl. Transfer to squeeze bottle and make a swirl on top of each baked oatmeal ramekin. Do the same with some yogurt, then top with chopped pecans.

Cooked cinnamon roll oatmeal with Greek yogurt and spices. Place on a table, covered in a blue and white tablecloth.

Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal Recipe Tips

  • Don’t Overmix: Mix the ingredients until just combined to avoid a dense texture. Overmixing can lead to gummy oatmeal.
  • Adjust Cooking Time: Air fryers can vary in cooking times. Start checking the oatmeal a few minutes before the recommended cooking time to avoid overcooking.
  • Add Toppings Midway: If you’re using any additional toppings, like pecans or a glaze, consider adding them halfway through the cooking time to ensure they don’t burn.
  • Let It Cool: Allow the baked oatmeal to cool slightly before slicing. This helps it set and makes it easier to cut into squares or bars.
  • Experiment with Spices: Feel free to adjust the amount of ground cinnamon and other spices to suit your taste preferences.
  • Check for Doneness: The oatmeal should be set in the middle and slightly golden on top. If it’s still too soft, air fry for a few additional minutes.
  • Serve Warm: Enjoy your cinnamon roll baked oatmeal warm, straight from the air fryer, or reheat it in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving.

What to serve with cinnamon roll baked oatmeal: Serve this alongside Air Fryer Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagels Bites, Air Fryer Bacon Bombs, Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Scones, and Air Fryer Red Velvet Scones.

Can I use quick oats instead of rolled oats? Quick oats can be used, but they will result in a softer texture compared to rolled oats. Rolled oats give a heartier and chewier consistency.

What can I use instead of almond butter? You can substitute almond butter with peanut butter, cashew butter, or any nut or seed butter of your choice.

How can I make this recipe vegan? Substitute the egg with a flax egg (1 tablespoon flaxseed meal mixed with 3 tablespoons water, let sit for 5 minutes) and use a plant-based milk alternative. Ensure that your yogurt is also plant-based.

Can I add other mix-ins or toppings? Absolutely! Feel free to add chocolate chips, dried fruits, nuts, or seeds to the mixture or as toppings before baking.

How do I know when the oatmeal is done? The oatmeal is done when the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The center should be set and not jiggly.
