So, if you are looking for a way to use up your bounty of apples from apple picking, this is one of my favorites!  The top is amazing, and the center is everything you want it to be, moist, tender, and filled with chunks of apples.

This bakes up so well in the Air Fryer, light, tender, and delicious. And without preheating and cooking in about half the time of a traditional oven, this will convince you that baking is awesome in the Air Fryer.

Air Fryer Apple Streusel Quick Bread Recipe Tips

  • Make sure to use a thinner pan than you would if you were baking this, this would ensure that the center of the bread gets fully cooked.
  • Grease your pan well with non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper.
  • If you do not want to peel, you can omit that step, they will cook up, and the skins will be tender.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Otherwise, you will end up with dense apple bread.
  • Check frequently your Air Fryer Apple Streusel Quick Bread to make sure it doesn’t overbake.
  • If you find that the top of the bread is getting browner, add a piece of foil snuggly around the bread.

Storing Instructions

Store the Apple Streusel Quick Bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 2 months, tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and foil.

Air Fryer Apple Streusel Quick Bread Recipe Faqs

What size pan should I use in the air fryer? You must use a loaf pan that fits inside your air fryer with clearance for air circulation. For most models, a small metal or silicone loaf pan (6x3 or 7×3 inches) works best.

How do I prevent the streusel topping from burning? Because the air fryer heats from the top, the streusel can burn quickly. If the topping looks done but the bread isn’t, loosely cover the top of the pan with a small piece of aluminum foil for the remainder of the cooking time.

How do I know when the bread is fully baked? Test the center with a thin wooden skewer or toothpick. It should come out clean (free of raw batter). Baking time is highly variable, so rely on the skewer test, not just the clock.

What kind of apples work best in this bread? Firmer, slightly tart apples like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji hold their shape well when baked and provide a nice contrast to the sweet streusel and bread..

Why i s my bread soggy in the middle? This is usually due to the bread not being fully cooked through. Ensure your pan size is appropriate for the air fryer so air circulates evenly, and always check the internal doneness with a skewer.
