Ingredients
- 1 cup Water
- 1/8 cup Cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Cider Vinegar
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 cup Butter , or Margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
- 1 tablespoon Celery Seeds
Instructions
- Combine the 1 cup Water and 1/8 cup Cornstarch in a blender. Purée on high until smooth, about 1 minute.
- Pour the purée into a 2½-quart saucepan. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the 1/2 cup Cider Vinegar , 1 cup Sugar , 1 teaspoon Onion Powder , 1 teaspoon Salt , 1/4 cup Butter or margarine, 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper , 1 teaspoon Celery Salt and 1 tablespoon Celery Seeds . Stir well after each addition.
- Keep stirring and cooking until the mixture is thick and shiny.
- Take off heat and allow to cool completely. Cool and then place in a well sealed jar in the refrigerate. The dressing will keep for up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator.
