Ingredients
1cupWater
1/8cupCornstarch
1/2cupCider Vinegar
1cupSugar
1teaspoonOnion Powder
1teaspoonSalt
1/4cupButter , or Margarine
1/2teaspoonBlack Pepper
1teaspoonCelery Salt
1tablespoonCelery Seeds
Instructions
Combine the 1 cup Water and 1/8 cup Cornstarch in a blender. Purée on high until smooth, about 1 minute.
Pour the purée into a 2½-quart saucepan. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly.
Stir in the 1/2 cup Cider Vinegar , 1 cup Sugar , 1 teaspoon Onion Powder , 1 teaspoon Salt , 1/4 cup Butter or margarine, 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper , 1 teaspoon Celery Salt and 1 tablespoon Celery Seeds . Stir well after each addition.
Keep stirring and cooking until the mixture is thick and shiny.
Take off heat and allow to cool completely. Cool and then place in a well sealed jar in the refrigerate. The dressing will keep for up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator.
