- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons butter and sauté 2 cloves garlic if using. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Season with Salt and black pepper
