Ingredients
12ouncespasta, fettuccine or penne, cooked al dente
2cupschicken, cooked chicken, sliced or shredded (grilled, roasted, or pan-seared)
3tablespoonsbutter
1/2cupheavy cream
3/4cupParmesan cheese, freshly grated
2clovesgarlic, optional, minced
2tablespoonsfresh parsley, optional, chopped for garnish
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Boil 12 ounces pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook your 2 cups chicken by grilling, roasting, or pan-searing. Slice or shred it into bite-sized pieces.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons butter and sauté 2 cloves garlic if using. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Season with Salt and black pepper
Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet with Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
Garnish with 2 tablespoons fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately while warm.
