When September comes around I love all things pumpkin. Who doesn’t love air fryer pumpkin muffins?
Easy Air Fryer Pumpkin Muffins
I know that most of your only eat pumpkin from September to November. Most of my friends only start their pumpkin consumption, once the Pumpkin Spice Lattes are available at Starbucks. Then my friends and I have a pumpkin feast, everything becomes about pumpkin. These are some of my favorite air fryer pumpkin muffins.
I love eating pumpkin all year-round. These are my favorite muffins, I have been eating them since I was a little girl, my mother was a great baker. I’m not sure where the recipe came from, but they are truly amazing! They are nice and light and fluffy, and they are amazing with a slab of butter after you let them cool down a bit.

Air Fryer Pumpkin Muffins Recipe Tips
-
Use Pure Pumpkin Puree: Ensure you use 100% pure pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling, which contains added sugars and spices.
- Don’t Overmix the Batter: Overmixing can result in dense muffins. Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined for light and fluffy muffins.
-
Adjust Cooking Time as Needed: Air fryer models can vary, so keep an eye on your muffins and adjust the cooking time if necessary. Start checking for doneness a few minutes before the suggested time.
-
Use Silicone Muffin Cups: Silicone muffin cups work great in the air fryer and ensure your muffins come out easily without sticking.
-
Fill Cups Only 2/3 Full: This allows room for the muffins to rise without spilling over the sides.
-
Add Mix-Ins: Enhance your muffins by folding in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit for added flavor and texture.
-
Let Muffins Cool in the Air Fryer: After the cooking time is up, let the muffins sit in the air fryer for a few minutes before removing them. This helps set their structure.
-
Test for Doneness: Insert a toothpick into the center of a muffin. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the muffins are done.
-
Store Properly: Store leftover muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
