Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place your biscuit dough (I needed to do it in 2 batches, as you don’t want them crowded). Set the temperature to 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove the biscuits, place them on a cutting board, and place the second batch in the air fryer basket.

Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar, unsweetened baking cocoa, butter (melted), vanilla, and milk in a small mixing bowl. Mix well until everything is well blended. Wait a few minutes until the donuts are cooled, and then spread the chocolate frosting on the donuts.

Pro Tips:

Donut Holes: Don’t toss the donut holes! Roll the extra dough into balls and carefully drop them into the air fryer. They will only take about 3 to 5 minutes to cook them.

Cooking Spray: You can use any cooking spray without propellents, as the chemicals inside will cause damage to your air fryer basket.

Crowding: For perfectly cooked air fryer donuts, do not crowd your air fryer basket; otherwise, they will not cook up correctly.

Flipping: Depending on which air fryer you own, you may need to flip them halfway during the cooking process.

Making These In An Air Fryer Oven: If you want to make these in an air fryer oven, make sure to put the shelf or rack, so the top and inside cook simultaneously.

Toppings:

Cinnamon-Sugar Topping: Give your favorite donut a new twist by dipping it in butter, then topping it with cinnamon and sugar. This will give you an extra hit of flavor that is sure to please!

Glazed Topping: Dipping donuts in a sweet and sugary glaze is an Experience worth repeating. To make your own, mix powdered sugar with milk or vanilla until it’s enough for dipping purposes before adding sprinkles afterward!

Decorating Your Donuts:

Donuts are a delicious treat that you can enjoy at any time of the day. They are perfect for breakfast, a snack, or even dessert. However, many people want donuts more when decorated with glazes and toppings.

Some great add ons are:

  • Chocolate Chips
  • Sprinkles or Jimmies
  • Chopped Nuts
  • Coconut Flakes

How To Store:

You can keep them in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature. These also freezer well, be sure to let them cool to room temperature, wrap them individually in saran wrap, and then place them into a freezer bag. They will keep for about 2 to 3 months.

If you are going to freeze these donuts, do not coat them in chocolate icing until they are thawed.
