Easy Ninja Foodi Shrimp Risotto Recipe Tips

  • Use Fresh or Properly Thawed Shrimp: Ensures tender, juicy shrimp without overcooking.
  • Toast the Rice: Sautéing the arborio rice before adding liquids gives a nutty, rich flavor.
  • Stir Occasionally: Even though the Ninja Foodi helps, occasional stirring ensures a creamy consistency.
  • Adjust Liquid as Needed: Depending on your rice and pressure settings, you may need a little extra broth.
  • Add Cheese at the End: Mixing in Parmesan after cooking keeps it creamy and prevents clumping.
  • Customize Flavors: Add fresh herbs like parsley or a squeeze of lemon for brightness.

Storing Instructions

Store leftover shrimp risotto in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep it covered to maintain moisture and prevent the rice from drying out.

Easy Ninja Foodi Shrimp Risotto Recipe Faqs

Can I use frozen shrimp? Yes! Just make sure to thaw them completely before adding to the risotto to avoid excess water and uneven cooking.

Can I make this recipe vegetarian? Absolutely! Substitute shrimp with mushrooms, asparagus, or other favorite vegetables and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.

Do I need to stir the risotto constantly? Not with the Ninja Foodi! Occasional stirring is enough to ensure creamy texture and prevent sticking.

Can I make this ahead of time? You can prep the ingredients ahead, but risotto is best enjoyed immediately for optimal creaminess.

How do I keep the risotto creamy when reheating? Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of broth or water to restore the creamy consistency.

What cheese works best in this recipe? Parmesan or Pecorino Romano adds the perfect savory, creamy flavor.
