How To Make Hardee’s Frisco Burger in the Air Fryer

Season the hamburger patties with salt and black pepper.

Step 1: Divide 1 pound of ground beef into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a thin patty slightly wider than your sourdough bread. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Place burgers into the air fryer basket.

Step 2: Preheat your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F. Place patties in a single layer in the basket. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked and browned. In the last minute, add one slice of Swiss and American cheese to each patty so it melts.

Hardee’s Frisco Burger Recipe Tips

  • Use thick sourdough slices for the best crunch and structure—they hold up well to the juicy burger and melty cheese.
  • Toast the bread with butter for that signature golden crust and rich flavor.
  • Don’t overwork the beef when forming patties; gentle shaping keeps them tender.
  • Melt cheese in the air fryer during the final minute to get it perfectly gooey.
  • Add tomato just before serving to keep it fresh and avoid soggy bread.
  • Customize it with caramelized onions or bacon for an extra punch of flavor.

Storing & Reheating Instructions

  • Storing: Wrap any leftover burgers in foil or put into a sealed container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: To reheat a Hardee’s Frisco Burger in the air fryer unwrap and cook in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes, or until heated through. You can also reheat in a skillet over medium heat, turning once, until the bread is crisp and the middle is hot.
