Description

This Hardee’s Frisco Burger Recipe brings together buttery sourdough bread, melty Swiss and American cheese, and a juicy seasoned beef patty for the ultimate diner-style sandwich. It’s easy to recreate at home and loaded with bold, savory flavor in every bite. Perfect for a quick lunch or satisfying dinner!

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound ground beef, 80/20 for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, optional, cooked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the bread
  • 4 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing, or your favorite burger sauce
  • 4 slices tomatoes, optional

Instructions

  • Divide 1 pound of ground beef into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a thin patty slightly wider than your sourdough bread. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F. Place patties in a single layer in the basket. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked and browned. In the last minute, add one slice of Swiss and American cheese to each patty so it melts.
  • Spread butter on one side of each sourdough slice. Place them (butter side out) into the air fryer basket and set air fryer temperature to 350 degrees F and set cook time for 2 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each toasted slice. Add the cheesy beef patty, a tomato slice, and top with the second piece of bread. ServeServe warm with your favorite fries, chips, or a pickle on the side!
