Description

These Easy 7 Layer Dip Cups are a colorful, flavorful appetizer perfect for parties, game days, or casual snacking. Layers of beans, guacamole, seasoned sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, olives, and green onions make every bite delicious.

Ingredients 

Guacamole Ingredients:

  • 2 large avocados, ripe
  • 2 large garlic, finely minced, cloves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

7 Layer Dip Cup Ingredients:

  • cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
  • cup refried beans
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, or grape tomatoes, chopped small
  • 1 cup 4-cheese Mexican blend, finely shredded
  • 15 ounces black olives, drained and chopped small
  • 3 large green onions, green parts only, sliced thin

To serve: Tortilla chips

Instructions

  • Halve the 2 large avocados and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a large bowl, add minced 2 large garlic and 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice, then season with Sea salt and pepper. Mash with a fork until smooth and creamy. Cover tightly and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine 1½ cup sour cream, 2 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Season with Sea salt and pepper, then stir until well mixed. Set aside.
  • Spoon about two tablespoons of refried beans into the bottom of each cup. Add a layer of guacamole followed by two tablespoons of the seasoned sour cream in each cup.
  • Top each cup with 3–4 chopped tomatoes, one tablespoon of shredded Mexican cheese, 3–4 chopped black olives, and a few green onion slices.
  • Optionally, place a tortilla chip in each cup for garnish. Serve immediately with extra tortilla chips on the side and enjoy!
