What Is An Air Fryer?
If you’re in the market for a new kitchen gadget, you may have come across an air fryer. But what is an air fryer? Essentially, it’s a countertop convection oven that uses hot air to cook food. This means that you can cook food faster and more evenly than other methods. Additionally, air fryers generally require less oil than traditional frying methods, making them a healthier option. Whether you’re looking to save time or calories, an air fryer may be the right appliance.

How To Make Air Fryer Puff Pastry Pizza
Thaw your puff pastry sheet for about 30 to 40 minutes at room temperature—Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and line the basket or with parchment paper. Roll the puff pastry sheet to the desired length, and flatten out the creases depending on how large your air fryer is. I rolled mine at about 10×14. (Using an Instant Pot Omni Air Fryer)
Use the tip of a knife to score a border about ½ inch from the edge of the puff pastry sheet. Be careful not to cut all the way through. Lightly brush the entire pastry sheet with oil and transfer it to the sheet pan—Air Fry for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Wash and slice your vegetable toppings. Set aside. Once the puff pastry is done air frying, it will be puffed up. Spread the pizza sauce and spread it evenly within the border.
Top with mozzarella cheese and veggie toppings, then put it in the air fryer for 5 to 8 minutes. Remember not to overcrowd or add too many toppings. Doing so can result in a soggy puff pastry pizza.
Once out of the air fryer, garnish with fresh basil leaves and enjoy fresh!
How Do You Keep Puff Pastry From Getting Soggy?
Puff pastry is a delicious, light, airy dough that you can use in many recipes. However, if it’s not stored or prepared correctly, it can become soggy and lose texture.
Our puff pastry is cooked through and never soggy. We’ll be baking it on its own until it’s perfectly crisped up before adding any sauce or topping. This allows the crusts to cook through to get nice golden brown when put back into the air fryer with other ingredients.
FAQ’s:
Is puff pastry the same as pizza dough?
The puff pastry pizza crust is lighter, flakier, and buttery than traditional dough. It also has a chewier bite due to the gluten activation in this recipe, making it perfect for those who don’t like their food too tough or gummy!
But, you can easily substitute pizza dough for the puff pastry; remember to blind bake it before adding the toppings so that the pizza dough cooks through.
Are you supposed to roll out puff pastry?
Puff pastry is a dough that you can roll up to form a square or rectangle. It’s best not to handle this product too much. As you handle the dough too much, it starts to become sticky.
The key to making Air Fryer Puff Pastry Pizza is to cut the puff pastry to fit inside the air fryer basket. Leave room around the puff pastry, which will help it crisp up.
How long do you put puff pastry in the air fryer for?
We’ll be air frying our pizza for about 18 to 20 minutes. First, we’ll do a blind bake with just the puff pastry crust on its own and then again for another ten or so with toppings added!
This two-step process allows the pizza crust to crisp up. This way, the underside is not soggy. This is one of the best tricks I can give you for air frying puff pastry.
What ways can I customize this puff pastry pizza?
Are you in the mood for pizza but tired of the same old thing? Puff pastry pizza is a delicious and easy way to change up your favorite food. You can customize this dish to your liking by adding different toppings.
Some of my favorite Air Fryer Pizza Combinations are:

How To Store
Cooks worldwide know that puff pastry is a fantastic way to create quick and easy dishes. But what do you do when you’re not using it all right away? Here’s how to store puff pastry to stay fresh and delicious.
Let the pizza cool to room temperature, and then place it into an airtight container. It will last in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days. You can reheat in the air fryer or microwave heat until warmed through.
