How To Make Air Fryer Mug Pizza

Step One: Choose an oven-safe coffee mug or ramekin. Make sure it’s oven-safe, as you’ll use it in the air fryer.
Step Two: In the mug, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the milk and olive oil to the mug with the dry ingredients. Stir well until you have a smooth batter.

Step Three: Using the back of a spoon, press the batter evenly along the bottom and sides of the mug to form a crust.
Note: Make sure it’s not too thick, as it will rise when cooking.
Step Four: Spread the pizza sauce over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step Five: Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add your choice of pizza toppings, such as pepperoni, olives, or bell peppers. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings.

Step Five: Preheat your air fryer temperature to 375 degrees F (190°C), for 3-5 minutes. Place the mug or ramekin in the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Easy Air Fryer Mug Pizza Recipe Tips
- Use a microwave- or air fryer-safe mug: Make sure it can withstand high heat.
- Even crust layer: Press the batter evenly along the bottom and sides for consistent cooking.
- Don’t overload toppings: Too many ingredients can prevent the mug pizza from cooking evenly.
- Check early: Air fryer models vary, so start checking at 8 minutes to avoid overcooking.
- Customize toppings: Add veggies, meats, or extra cheese based on your preference.
Storing Instructions
- Room Temperature: Best served immediately for a soft, cheesy texture.
- Refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for up to 1 day; reheat in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.
- Freezing: Not recommended, as the mug pizza may become soggy and lose texture.

Other Cooking Instructions
- Microwave Option: Cook the mug pizza in the microwave for 60-90 seconds, checking at 60 seconds to avoid overcooking.
- Extra Crispy Crust: Brush a little olive oil on the crust before cooking for a golden, slightly crispier base.
- Custom Toppings: Add pre-cooked meats, sautéed veggies, or fresh herbs to personalize your pizza.
- Cheese Tips: Use a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for extra gooeyness, or sprinkle Parmesan on top after cooking.
- Serving Suggestion: Let the mug pizza cool for 1-2 minutes before eating to avoid hot cheese burns.
