  • Oil: You can use any high-heat oil, such as olive oil, grapeseed oil or sesame oil I used olive oil because it has a neutral taste.
  • Sesaonings: Salt, and Black Pepper.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Optional

How To Prep Kale For Chips

Start by washing and drying off your Kale leaves. The key is to use a kitchen towel or paper towels to fully dry them off, which will allow them to perfectly crisp up.

Kale comes with large leaves with a huge spine in the middle. You do not typically eat the spine, as it is very bitter.

So use a sharp knife cut the leaves from the spine.

Then place in the air fryer basket or on an air fryer tray, and set the temperature to 370 degrees F, for 4 minutes.

  • Flying Around The Air Fryer? If you find that your kale chips fly around the basket, or you think they will, place a metal trivet or rack over them so they do not fly around.
  • Seasonings: Season these with a variety of spices and seasonings.
