Step 2: Lightly spray frozen haddock fillets with cooking spray or brush with a little oil. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, or your favorite spices.
Step 3: (Optional) For extra crispiness, you can sprinkle panko breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes over the fillets and press gently to adhere.

Easy Air Fryer Frozen Haddock Recipe Tips
- Don’t Thaw: Cook the haddock straight from frozen to save time and prevent soggy fillets.
- Light Oil Coating: Spray or brush a thin layer of oil to help seasonings stick and achieve a golden, crispy finish.
- Season Generously: Use salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, or your favorite spices to boost flavor.
- Avoid Overcrowding: Leave space between fillets so hot air can circulate, ensuring even cooking and crispiness.
- Flip Halfway: Turn the fillets midway through cooking for a consistent golden crust on both sides.
- Check Doneness: Haddock is cooked when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F internally.
- Optional Crunch: Sprinkle panko, cornflakes, or crushed crackers for an extra crispy coating.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy right out of the air fryer for maximum crispiness and flavor.
- Pairing Suggestions: Serve with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or a side of roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
Storing and Reheating Instructions
- Storing: Place leftover cooked haddock in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let the fish cool slightly before storing to maintain its texture.
- Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–6 minutes until warmed through and crispy. Alternatively, bake in the oven at 325°F for 8–10 minutes, loosely covered with foil to prevent over-browning.

This is truly the best recipe I have ever tried for haddock! This last time I bought panko crumbs they only had the plain so I did add salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and Italian seasonings to the panko. I cook my filet for 8 minutes and check with a thermometer. Usually it’s about 130-135 F so then I add about 3 – 5 more minutes and recheck to make sure it has reached the 165F mark. I do add a slice of lemon and I also use my own tartar sauce. The haddock is always moist, flakes easily and taste is just awesome! I just love this recipe and it’s the one I use regularly now.

Excellent recipe. I added Parmesan to the Panko . Never knew to add mayo to egg. Made for a wonderful crust

This seems very bland. I’m going to give it a try.

Absolutely delicious. Crispy on outside, juicy on the inside. We make this weekly now!! Only thing we altered was leaving the mayo out & adding some adobo on both sides of the breaded fish.
Definitely a MUST try.

This recipe did NOT disappoint!! It was definitely a crowd pleaser. The only thing I did differently was used lemon pepper instead of black pepper. Thank you so much for this recipe! Oh, for the vegetarians, I also sliced hearts of palm for air fried “scallops”.
