My kids really loved spiced nuts, so today, while they were busy with school work. I made a batch of Air Fryer Maple BBQ Roasted Cashews.

How do I roast nuts in my air fryer?
This is such an easy recipe. I have made a lot of recipes where I roast nuts right in my air fryer.
You really do not need any seasoning, and you can get a perfectly roasted batch within minutes.
You can either use olive oil or egg white to get the crunchy texture of the cashews. Seasonings will vary based on your taste.
I usually add some salt after they are roasted, and toss.

How To Make Air Fryer Maple BBQ Roasted Cashews
First, add the cashews to a small mixing bowl, mix in the olive oil and maple BBQ rub. Then, toss with your hands because it helps to get the olive oil and spice blend over the cashews.
Place the cashews into the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 370 degrees F for 5-7 minutes. (air fryer setting)
What is the Difference Between Raw and Roasted Cashews?
Today, I used raw cashews. Although they are labeled as raw, they are un-shelled, which means that have already been roasted to remove the shell. If you purchase roasted cashews in the store, that means that they have been roasted twice. First, they have been roasted to remove the shell, and the second time they have been roasted a second time.
Where to Buy Cashews
Cashews are very expensive. Therefore, the best places would be online, box stores, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe’s.
Anytime there is a sale, therefore, I stock up.

The best place to store air fryer roasted cashews is an airtight container. They will last a few days. After that, you may want to place them in the refrigerator, and they will last about a week.
However, since our cashews are coated with olive oil and spices, they will not do well in the refrigerator. This is because the olive oil, when cold usually becomes hard.
