Air fryer chickpeas are a great way to make food healthier and more flavorful. They require little to no oil, so they’re a healthy alternative that you can add to your diet.
It’s also easier if you have an air fryer because it means less mess in the kitchen! The process of making these is simple: just put some olive oil on them and then mix up some spices like onions, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, or chili flakes before placing them in the air fryer for around 10 minutes. You’ll be surprised at how crispy they will get while still being soft on the inside!

Air Fryer Korean BBQ Roasted Chickpeas Recipe Tips
- This recipe will work in any Air Fryer Basket or Oven Model. I have made chickpeas several times in all of my Air Fryers, and this recipe will work in the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Vortex, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid.
- For best results, shake the basket several times during the cooking process so the chickpeas are perfectly roasted.
- Remember, the Air Fryer works by hot air circulating the food, perfectly cooking it up. Be careful not to crowd the basket. Otherwise, you will end up with a soft batch of chickpeas.
- Add some salt at the end for even more flavor! There is nothing better than some sea salt!
Storing Instructions
Store the roasted chickpeas in an airtight glass container or an open glass jar. Unfortunately, these chickpeas will not stay crunchy for more than a few hours. I have noticed that as the chickpeas cool down, they start to lose their crispness!

I didn’t have any ranch mix on hand or the ingredients for the Korean variety. What I did have was a packet of brown gravy mix (20 calories) and coated them with that. Wow! You changed my world today!
