How to Make Honey Garlic Air Fryer Pork Chops

Here are the step-by-step directions for making honey garlic pork chops air fryer.

Air Fryer Honey Garlic Pork Chops

STEP ONE:  Start by seasoning the pork chops with salt and pepper. Please place them in your air fryer basket or air fryer tray, in a single layer.

STEP TWO: Set the air fryer temperature to 400 degrees F, and set cook time for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway during the cooking process. Remove the pork chops, when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F, in the thickest part of the pork chop.

STEP THREE: While the pork chops are cooking, make the sauce. Mix the olive oil and minced garlic in a small saucepan and simmer for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.

Pro Tips

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Always preheat your air fryer before adding the pork chops. Preheating ensures even cooking and helps to achieve that desirable crispy exterior.
  • Use Thinly Sliced Pork Chops: Opt for thinly sliced pork chops, around 1/2 inch thick, for quicker and more even cooking in the air fryer.
  • Marinate for Flavor: For maximum flavor, marinate the pork chops in the honey garlic sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This allows the flavors to penetrate the meat and enhances its taste.
  • Pat Dry Before Cooking: Before air frying, pat the marinated pork chops dry with paper towels. Excess moisture can hinder the crisping process and may result in soggy pork chops.
  • Arrange in a Single Layer: Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. This allows for proper air circulation and ensures even cooking.
  • Flip Halfway Through: Flip the pork chops halfway through the cooking time to ensure they cook evenly on both sides and achieve a uniform golden-brown color.
  • Check Internal Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork chops. They are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Rest Before Serving: Allow the cooked pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in juicier and more flavorful pork chops.
