Everyone needs lunch ideas, it’s one of the easiest meals to make, and you can really use your imagination and make any type of sandwich you want. This an amazing twist on a classic air fryer bacon cheddar sandwich. The long title of the recipe is Air Fryer Grilled Apple, Bacon and Cheddar Sandwich.
Today, since it’s September, and apples are in season, I went with an air fryer apple, bacon, and cheddar sandwich. It was fabulous, we all love our grilled cheeses in the air fryer, and today’s sandwich was just a twist, and who doesn’t love bacon in a sandwich? The bacon gives it a great crunch.
For a true fall favorite, I added some sliced apple slices they make for an added surprise while adding some sweetness to your sandwich. It is a great flavor combination.
Here are all of the ingredients you need to make this in your own air fryer,
- 2 slices of bread, any type
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of bacon, cooked
- 1/2 of Granny Smith apple, cut thin
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
Here are the step by step instructions, so you can make it in your own air fryer,
Spread mayonnaise on one side of the bread, and then lay 1 piece of cheddar cheese on top of the mayonnaise.
Then add the sliced apples and bacon slices on top of the cheese.
Then place 2 pieces of cheddar cheese on top.
Finally, cover the bread and spray or use butter to coat it. Then follow the direction in the recipe.

Air Fryer Grilled Apple, Bacon and Cheddar Sandwiches
Description
Ingredients
- 2 slices bread, any type
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup Granny Smith Apple, Sliced Thin
- 1 teaspoon butter, unsalted
- 2 teaspoons mayonnaise, regular or low fat
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F, air fryer setting.
- Start by spreading mayo on both sides of the bread.
- Then place a cheddar cheese slice down, then 2 bacon pieces, then apple slices, finish it off with another piece of cheese.
- Then spread the butter on both sides of the bread, and set it in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 3 minutes, and then flip and do another 3 minutes more.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!
