WHAT ARE POTATO SKINS?
IF you have ever been out to a restaurant and you ordered a great big plate of these, you know exactly what they are.
They are usually made from potatoes, where they have dug out the filling and then added cheese, bacon, green onions, and then made them again.
They are so popular at TGI Fridays that they started selling them in the frozen food sections at most American Grocery stores.
Loaded Potato Skins
I tend to use Russet potatoes as they hold their shape better than other varieties. My inspiration for this recipe was TGIF because I believe that they make the ultimate Loaded Potato Skins.
If you purchase loaded potato skins in any restaurant in the united states, they will deep fry your baked potato. Today, I tasted the same flavors as the restaurant, but only a bit healthier since I air-fried my baked potato.
You can also change this out by using sweet potatoes, a great recipe after Thanksgiving, if you have any leftover sweet potatoes.
