That’s why I wanted to share my recipe for air fryer easy lime pie! It only takes a few ingredients and 15 minutes total from start-to-finish, so this dessert can be made even during those busy weeks where there isn’t any free time in your schedule. And because it doesn’t require an oven or stovetop, you don’t have to worry about heating up your kitchen! 

The perfect summer pie! And who doesn’t love Lime Pie?

Ever tried cooking a pie in the air fryer? It’s easy, and it tastes even better than cooking it in the oven. You can make this recipe with or without an air fryer, but if you do have one I recommend using it!

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Egg Yolk
  • Heavy Cream
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Limes
  • Whipped Cream

How To Make Air Fryer Easy Lime Pie

Dough Ingredients in Bowl

Start by making the crust in a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and then cut in the butter until well blended. Add the egg yolk, cream, and vanilla extract. Mix well until everything is well combined.

Roll Out Dough

Place in the refrigerator for about an hour and a half. Then roll out your dough, about 1/5 inch thick.  Place the tart dough into the pan you are using.

Place the tart dough into the air fryer for 6 minutes at 320 degrees F. Air fryer set, check and see if it’s browned.  If not, add a few minutes. The exact time will depend on your air fryer and what tart pan you are using.

Let cool slightly before filling.

To Make the filling:

Add the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, zest, powdered sugar, and egg yolks in a small mixing bowl.

Mix well until all of the eggs are blended in. Then fill the tart with the filling. As you fill the tarts, please place them in your air fryer tray or basket. Set the temperature to 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 minutes.

Let them cool for about 10 minutes before adding whipped cream and/or lime slices.

What Pans Do I Need To Make An Air Fryer Pie?

Today, I used these mini pie plates, which are amazing, and I found them on sale at Amazon. You can pick them up here. You can use any pie plate that you want. Just make sure that it fits in your air fryer basket.

The key is to make sure that the air fryer basket is not crowd. Otherwise, they will not cook up properly. And remember, the larger the pie plate is, the longer it will take to cook up!

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick butter, cold unsalted butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoon heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling:

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 4 egg yolks, only yolks

Additional:

Whipped Cream, lime slices

Instructions
