How to Make Chocolate-Covered Strawberries (Copycat Shari’s Berries Recipe)
- Step One: Wash strawberries and thoroughly pat dry (damp will not allow chocolate to adhere).
- Step Two: Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl or with a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
- Step Three: Grab the stem of a strawberry and dip it into the $1 cup of melted chocolate to coat.
- Step Four: Before chocolate sets completely, dip strawberries in nuts sprinkles or crushed cookies. Melt white chocolate and drizzle across the berries for that professional finish. Put on parchment paper to Setting for 30 minutes before you serve.

Recipe Variations
- Oreo-Crushed Berries –Dip in chocolate then roll into crushed Oreo cookies.
- Nutty Delight – You can add chopped almonds, peanuts or pistachios.
- Tropical Twist – Add a sprinkle of shredded coconut for some fun texture.
- Valentine’s Day – Try pink or red candy melts for a fun look.
Tips for the Best Results
- Make sure strawberries are dry before dipping; use immediately.
- Just make sure to use good-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- No need to keep these refrigerated too long — condensation will make the chocolate “sweat.”
- Best if served within 24-48 hours for texture and flavor.
How to Give Homemade Shari’s Berries
To get the gourmet gift-box look, line a small bakery box with parchment paper or tissue. Lay sliced strawberries out in rows, whip up a ribbon to parallel on top, and you’ve got homemade edged-out store-bought Shari’s Berries.
