How To Cook Keto Air Fryer Corn Dogs

Step One: In a medium bowl, microwave the mozzarella and cream cheese together. Heat for one minute, stir, then microwave an additional 30 seconds until the cheeses are fully melted and combined.

Step Two: Stir the almond flour into the melted cheese mixture, then add the egg. Make sure the cheese mixture is warm but not too hot to avoid cooking the egg.

Step Three: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, kneading if needed to combine. Press the dough into a flat rectangle between two sheets of parchment paper, then cut into four equal pieces with a pizza cutter or knife.

Step Four: Pat the hot dogs dry with a paper towel, then wrap each one in a piece of dough until fully covered. Preheat the air fryer to 375 °F, lightly spray the pan and the dough-wrapped hot dogs with cooking spray. Air fry for 7 minutes, flip them over, spray again, and cook for another 7 minutes until golden brown.
Step Five: Remove the golden-brown corn dogs from the air fryer and let them rest for 3–5 minutes before serving to set and cool slightly.

Keto Air Fryer Corn Dogs Recipe Tips
- Keep cheese mixture warm, not hot: Ensure the melted cheeses are slightly cooled before adding the egg to prevent cooking it.
- Use finely ground almond flour: This creates a smooth, pliable dough that wraps easily around the hot dogs.
- Work quickly with dough: The dough firms up as it cools, so shape and wrap hot dogs promptly.
- Air fryer spray: Lightly spray the dough with cooking spray to get a golden, crispy finish.
- Check for doneness: Air fryer times may vary; cook until golden brown but not overcooked.
Storing and Reheating Instructions
- Storing: Let corn dogs cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezing: Wrap individually in plastic wrap or foil and place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 1 month.
- Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350 °F (177 °C) for 3–5 minutes until warmed through and crispy. Avoid microwaving to maintain the crunchy texture.
Serving Suggestions

- Mustard: Nothing is more traditional than serving with mustard, a keto-friendly option such as Local Folks Food Dill Pickle Mustard! Of course, you could be traditional and serve with True Made Foods Yellow Mustard!
- Mayo! Another favorite thing to dip corn dogs in!
