Easy Ninja Creami Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Recipe Tips

  • Use cold ingredients: Start with cold milk and creamer to speed up freezing and improve texture.
  • Dissolve powders fully: Stir sugar and dry mix thoroughly so your ice cream churns smooth without gritty spots.
  • Freeze for a full 24 hours: Don’t rush this step—fully solid ice cream gives the best creamy results.
  • Crush peppermint finely: Small pieces mix better and prevent big crunchy chunks that are hard to scoop.
  • Adjust sweetness: Taste the base before freezing; some creamers are very sweet, so tweak sugar if needed.
  • Mix-ins last: Add chocolate chips and peppermint after churning to keep them from melting into the ice cream.
  • Refreeze if needed: For a firmer scoop, refreeze for 1–2 hours after adding mix-ins.

Storing Instructions

  • Freezer: Store in the original Ninja Creami pint container or transfer to an airtight container.
  • Shelf Life: Best eaten within 1–2 weeks for optimal flavor and texture.
  • Prevent Ice Crystals: Press a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface before sealing the container.
  • Serving: Let ice cream sit at room temperature 3–5 minutes before scooping for easier serving.

Easy Ninja Creami Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Recipe Faqs

Can I use 2% milk instead of whole milk? Yes! Using 2% milk will give a slightly lighter texture, but it will still be creamy and delicious.

Do I have to use peppermint coffee creamer? Not necessarily. You can swap it with any peppermint-flavored creamer, or even plain cream with a little extra peppermint extract.

Can I make this dairy-free? Yes! Use a plant-based milk (like almond or oat) and a non-dairy creamer. The texture may be slightly different, but still tasty.

How long can I store this ice cream? Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. For best flavor and texture, eat sooner rather than later.

Can I add more mix-ins? Absolutely! Extra chocolate chips, crushed candy, or even white chocolate chunks work great—just add them after churning.

Do I have to use the Ninja Creami? This recipe is designed for the Ninja Creami for the perfect creamy texture, but you could try freezing in another container and blending, though the result might be a little icier.

Can I make it ahead for a party? Yes! Freeze the base up to 24 hours before churning and add mix-ins just before serving for the best texture.
