What Are Vegan Sugar Cinnamon Donuts?

The donuts are a fun and easy way to make your own vegan treats at home. They contain ground cinnamon and granulated sugar for a great and easy coating for these donuts! Since there is no yeast in the recipe, this makes for a really quick donut recipe. The perfect breakfast or snack!

Today, I used oat milk to make this dairy-free. You can also substitute the all-purpose flour out if you would like a gluten-free treat.

How To Make Air Fryer Vegan Sugar Cinnamon Donuts

Ingredients in Bowl for Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Spray your donut pan with a non-stick spray. I used avocado oil. Whisk the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl.

Add the dairy-free milk, apple sauce, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter to the large bowl and whisk until smooth. The batter will be on the thicker side, not too runny.

Put the batter in a piping bag and fill the donut pan. Be careful not to overfill, and each should contain about ¾ batter. If you fill to the top, you might lose your hole as it rises in the air fryer.

Put the mold in the air fryer oven, set the temperature to 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, for about 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.

After they are cooked, take them out of the air fryer and let them cool off in the pan for about 10 minutes.

Grab two small bowls for your toppings, mix the sugar and cinnamon in one bowl, and melt the ¼ vegan butter in the other bowl. Then start to dip each donut in the butter and then the cinnamon sugar. You can dip both sides, or just one side, depending on your preference.

Serve while warm!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE WITH GLUTEN-FREE FLOUR?

I’ve been getting many emails lately asking if I can substitute gluten-free flour for regular flour. The answer is YES!

So, if you have been looking for the perfect homemade gluten-free donut recipe for the air fryer, this is the perfect one!

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

For best results, store any leftover Air Fryer Vegan Sugar Cinnamon Donuts in an airtight container. At room temperature, they should last 1 to 2 days or 3 to 4 days if refrigerated.

You can reheat the donuts in the air fryer or microwave to warm them up before serving.
