Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Street Tacos

- Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Chili Powder
- Tortillas
- Optional Toppings: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Salsa, Guacamole, Sour Cream, etc.
How To Make Air Fryer Street Tacos

Start by cutting your chicken, adding it to a small bowl, and adding the olive oil, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Tossing the chicken until the chicken pieces are covered in the seasoning mix using a pair of tongs.

Set the coated chicken pieces into the air fryer basket. Set the temperature to 380 degrees F, air fryer setting, and cook for 12 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway during the cooking process.
Check the chicken’s internal temperature with a meat thermometer, ensuring its internal temperature is 165 degrees F before removing them.

Ingredient Notes
- Chicken: You can easily use boneless skinless chicken thighs, which would be a great and meatier option. The cooking time will be a bit longer since it’s dark meat. But remember to check the internal temperature, which should be 165 degrees F, before removing them.
- Spices: For an earthier flavor, use ground cumin, ancho chili powder, or even cilantro.
- Oil: Any high-heat oil will work in this recipe. Some tremendous high-heat oils from the air fryer are avocado oil, sesame oil, or coconut oil.
- Tortillas: For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas. Use low-carb tortillas if you want this recipe to be low-carb or Keto Friendly.
Additional Topping Ideas
Even though traditional street tacos are just served with onion, cilantro, and lime, they can still be overloaded.
Other topping ideas include:
- Aubergine slices
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Roja sauce
- Pico de gallo
- radishes
- Quesadilla relish
- Taco shells
- Tomatoes
Can I bake the chicken instead?
Yes, you can bake the chicken instead of air frying. To cook, preheat your oven to 425ºF and place your seasoned chicken onto a greased baking tray.
Cook for 15 to 20 m minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
How to know when chicken is done?
When you see or feel that the inside of your chicken is no longer pink, then it’s ready to be cooked. You can also check if there are any signs of running clear by cutting them with a knife and seeing whether juice comes out when cut.
The best way to tell if meat is done is to use a meat thermometer and check the internal temperature, which should be 165 degrees F.
