What Is An Air Fryer?

This is such a common question that I receive and get asked. It is an effortless way to make many foods without placing your food into the microwave or regular oven.

Air Fryer cooks your food by circulating the hot air around it, allowing it to cook perfectly.

This is perfect for French Fries since you will never get a soggy French Fry again!

What Kind Of Air Fryer Will Work For Frozen French Fries?

I have a lot of Air Fryers, and this recipe will work for: (affiliate links)

  • Ninja Foodie
  • Instant Pot Lid
  • Philips XL Air Fryer
  • Instant Pot Vortex
  • Any air fryer that you own. The time might be a few minutes different, but this recipe will work in any air fryer!

Tips For The Perfect Crispy French Fries

The most important tip that I can give you about making Frozen French Fries is to lightly coat them with olive oil. Frozen shoestring potatoes work the best!

When you coat them with olive oil, they give great crispiness to the air fryer.

And cook them from FROZEN if you try to defrost them, they will never crisp up. They will become soggy.

The Most Important Rule For Cooking Food In An Air Fryer

The most important rule for an air fryer is not to crowd your basket. There are a few reasons why this is not a good idea. And once you master it, you will have perfectly cooked (air fried food)

Cooking your food in a single layer allows the hot air to circulate the food. This allows all of your food sides to get the same amount of hot air, allowing the food to crisp up.

When food in the air fryer basket is touching other food, you will often end up with a few soggy French Fries.

How Long Do You Cook Frozen French Fries in The Air Fryer?

Here is an excellent rule of thumb that will help you with all of your Frozen French Fries, making them in the air fryer:

  • Steak Fries- 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Sweet Potato French Fries 12-15 minutes.
  • Crinkle French Fries: 10-12 minutes
  • Shoestring French Fries 10-15 minutes
  • Waffle French Fries: 12-15 minutes.

How To Reheating Leftover Fries

The air fryer is the perfect place for you to reheat your leftover French Fries, as they will not get soggy.

To reheat, place back into the air fryer and air at 360 degrees F for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Remove when heated through. Serve with a dash of salt.

What Are Some Great Things To Serve Alongside a Plate of Air Fryer French Fries?

I usually serve these with a great sandwich; they make a quick lunch for the kids. Some of my favorites:

Air Fryer Rueben: This is a perfect side dish, as it air fries so quickly.

Air Fryer Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich: One of my kid’s favorites, made in the air fryer, it’s perfectly grilled, and the peanut butter and jelly are oozing. It’s amazing.

Air Fryer Classic BLT: Is there anything like a homemade BLT with a side of fries? Excellent lunch or dinner for any day of the week.

Some Great Dipping Sauces for Your Perfectly Cooked Air Fryer French Fries-

My kids love dipping anything they eat, here are some of their absolute favorites,

  • Raising Cane’s Sauce: The perfect balance of sweet and savory all in one bite. This is amazing on French Fries.
  • Honey Mustard Sauce: Again, a simple and delicious dipping sauce for the entire family to enjoy and only takes minutes to prepare.
