Today, I made Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a Lemon Aoili Sauce. This recipe makes for a really quick dinner and is simple to make n the air fryer, so if you are looking for a beginners recipe, this is a great one to start with.
What Is Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken?
This is a chicken cutlet that is breaded with parmesan cheese and then coated with bread crumbs. Using the air fryer it is then fried until it’s golden brown and crispy on the inside, but tender on the inside.
You can either buy chicken cutlets already pounded at the grocery store, or make your own, by using a kitchen mallet. Then you would simple pound them until they are thinner.
Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4–5 tablespoons olive oil
BREADING:
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
AIOLI SAUCE:
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Simple Directions:
- Start by making the lemon aioli sauce, mix all of the sauce ingredients, in a small bowl.
- Then add the chicken to a large bowl and rub the olive oil over them.
- Then in another bowl mix all of the breading ingredients into a small bowl, and then cover the chicken with the breading.
Then as you complete breading the chicken, place them in your air fryer basket. When all of the chicken is in the basket, spritz them with your spray. - Set the temperature to 350 degrees F, for 6 minutes. Then flip the chicken breasts, and spray again, and set for another 6 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature of the chicken, which should be at 165 degrees F.
Note: The exact time for the chicken will depend on your air fryer and the thickness of the chicken. - Plate, I usually serve a scoop on each plate with the garlic aioli sauce, for easy dipping.
Mix all of the ingredients for the Garlic Aoili Sauce.
Breading ingredients, together.
Rub the olive oil all over the chicken.
Then dredge it into the breading mixture.
Set the chicken in the air fryer basket
Spray with your olive oil spray. Coat the chicken, otherwise, you will end up with dry/white patches.
