Pro Tips:

Air Fryers: Air Fryers are not all created equal! Some can vary in power and how fast they cook, so it’s essential to experiment a bit the first time you make this recipe. If your cake comes out undercooked, keep cooking until the mug cake is fully cooked.

Mugs: You can use any oven-safe mugs since oven-safe generally means air fryer safe. Depending on the size of our mugs that you own, you may be able to make 1 or 2 mug cakes with this recipe. I would recommend that you use a 14-ounce mug. Since that mug is not too thick, you will find that you will get better results.

Hot: Remember this mug is very hot when it comes out of the air fryer, so use a pair of heat resistant gloves, when removing them.

Can This Mug Muffin Be Made In The Oven?

Yes, this is a straightforward recipe to make in the oven if you do not want to use your air fryer. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

Can This Mug Muffin Be Made In The Microwave?

This is an easy and quick microwave snack or breaks; you can make this in about 2 minutes on medium-high.

How To Make This Mug Cake Gluten-Free:

This is an easy recipe that you can convert to a gluten-free recipe. Switch the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and powdered sugar to gluten-free alternatives. This will make a great way to cook an Air Fryer Gluten-Free Cinnamon Roll.

How Can I Store These?

If you want to make this ahead of time and store it, it will stay fresh for a couple of days. However, I would not recommend adding the icing until right before serving.

Let the mug cake cool to room temperature, remove it from the mug, and place it into an airtight container or Ziploc bag. It will stay fresh for about 2 to 3 days. Then right before serving, rehat int eh microwave or the air fryer, and then make a new batch of icing, to drizzle over it.

How To Freeze:

This is a great freezer snack or breakfast. Make as directed, and then let cool to room temperature. Remove the mug cake from the mug, place it on a baking sheet, and freeze. Freeze until frozen solid, and then put into a freezer-safe container or a freezer bag. They will last for about 2 to 3 months.

When you are ready to eat the Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls In A Mug, defrost overnight in the refrigerator and then make a batch of fresh icing to drizzle over the cinnamon roll.
