They are typically made with brown sugar, butter, eggs, flour, and vanilla extract, creating a rich and chewy texture with a sweet, buttery taste. Blondies often include mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or butterscotch chips for added flavor and texture. They are baked in a square or rectangular pan and cut into bars for serving, making them a beloved treat for dessert lovers everywhere.

Pro Tips

Here are some pro tips to ensure your blondies turn out perfect every time:

  • Use Room-Temperature Ingredients: Before beginning the recipe, ensure your butter and eggs are at room temperature to ensure proper incorporation and a smooth batter.
  • Cream the Butter and Sugar Well: Creaming together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy helps to aerate the mixture, resulting in a lighter texture for your blondies.
  • Don’t Overmix: Once you add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mix until combined. Overmixing can lead to tough blondies, so be careful not to overdo it.
  • Customize with Mix-Ins: Get creative with your blondies by adding mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit for extra flavor and texture.
  • Check for Doneness Early: Air fryer temperatures can vary, so start checking for doneness a few minutes before the recommended baking time to avoid overcooking.
  • Let Them Cool Completely: Allow your blondies to cool completely in the pan before slicing. This allows them to set properly and ensures they hold their shape when cut.
  • Store Properly: Any leftover blondies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a few days. They can also be frozen for longer storage, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.

With these pro tips, you’ll be able to bake perfect blondies that are rich, chewy, and absolutely delicious!
