FAQ’s:

How Do You Get Them Crunchy or Crispy?

Ok, I have been making these for years in my air fryer. I have gotten it down to a science. The steps need to be followed, so you end up with crispy chickpeas. No one wants a hard snack.

  1. Drain the chickpeas very well. I usually use a colander and let them drain for about 20 minutes while doing something else.
  2. Then I lay the drained chickpeas onto a kitchen towel and cover them with another kitchen towel. Again, I leave them there for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. I make sure my chickpeas are coated in olive oil. If the recipe calls for 2 tablespoons, and you think they are still dry, add some more. The olive really helps the chickpeas in the air fryer. Use your hands and coat them.

How Long Do Roasted Chickpeas Last?

Can I Re-Crisp The Roasted Chickpeas?

I know we all love our roasted chickpeas, but sometimes they can get a little too crispy and lose their flavor. But don’t worry, there is hope! If you find yourself with that problem or want to change up your flavors, then I have the perfect solution for you: re-crisping them in the oven!

Place the chickpeas back into the air fryer to re-crisp them. Only a couple of minutes will give you a new batch of crispy chickpeas.

Can I Use Canned Chickpeas?

Can you use canned chickpeas? Short answer: yes! Canned chickpeas are an excellent option for anyone who doesn’t have time to soak and cook dry beans. They’re also perfect for those occasions when you don’t have the energy or ingredients to make from scratch. Cooking from scratch can take hours, but with canned chickpeas, it only takes minutes because they’re already cooked.
