Air Fryer Cranberry Muffin For One is so good! Today, I wanted to make myself a muffin, but I was the only one in the mood, so I thought, why not?
This recipe makes only one or two muffins, depending on how large you make them. They are then baked up perfectly in the air fryer.
Baking in the air fryer is amazing! You get a quick, delicious, and almost bakery-quality muffin every time.
This muffin was packed with fresh cranberries, but you can easily use the dried version if you have none.
If you haven’t made muffins in the air fryer, let me tell you they’re so easy and cook beautifully.

Why You Will Love Making Single-Serving Muffins In Air Fryer
- Quick Cooking Time: Single-serving muffins in the air fryer cook faster than in a conventional oven, saving you time.
- Perfect Texture: The air fryer’s circulating hot air gives muffins a beautifully even and slightly crispy exterior while keeping the inside moist and fluffy.
- Energy Efficiency: Using an air fryer for small batches is more energy-efficient than heating a large oven for just a few muffins.
- Convenience: It’s straightforward to whip up a single serving without the temptation of leftover muffins lingering around.
- Customizable: Making muffins one at a time allows for personalizing flavors and ingredients to suit individual tastes or dietary needs.
- Less Cleaning: Air-frying muffins typically require less cleanup than traditional baking methods, as many air fryer baskets are non-stick and dishwasher safe.
- Ideal for Small Kitchens: The compact size of an air fryer makes it perfect for those with limited kitchen space, negating the need for a full-size oven.
Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Cranberry Muffin For One
Here are the simple ingredients you will need:
Remember the step-by-step directions and detailed ingredient list are below, in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post, as well as the nutritional information.
- All-Purpose Flour: The foundation of the muffin is all-purpose flour, which provides structure and ensures the muffin has the perfect tender crumb.
- Baking Powder: Baking powder acts as a leavening agent, helping the muffin rise and become fluffy, giving it that classic muffin texture.
- Salt: Just a pinch of salt enhances the flavors of the other ingredients, balancing the sweetness and bringing out the depth of the muffins.
- Butter: Melted butter adds richness and moisture to the muffin’s delicious flavor and tender texture.
- Granulated Sugar: Sugar not only sweetens the muffin but also helps to create a golden-brown crust on the top, adding a bit of crunch.
- Egg Yolk: Using just the yolk provides the muffin with a richer taste and a more tender texture, making it exceptionally moist.
- Pure Vanilla Extract: A splash of vanilla extract adds a warm, aromatic flavor that beautifully complements the tartness of the cranberries.
- Milk: Milk adds moisture and lightness to the batter, ensuring the muffin is not too dense.
- Cranberries, Fresh, Frozen, or Dried: Cranberries introduce a tart contrast to the muffin’s sweetness, with each type adding its texture and intensity of flavor.
How To Make Air Fryer Cranberry Muffin For One
Follow the step-by-step instructions:
In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the melted butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix well.
Fold in the cranberries. Spray a muffin tin or use a silicone muffin liner. Pour the batter into the muffin/cupcake holder.
Set in the air fryer for 7 to 12 minutes at 330 degrees F (air fryer setting)
Check to ensure the muffin is fully cooked before you remove it; depending on the air fryer you own, you may need an additional minute or two.
Pro Tips:
- This recipe can be prepared in any air fryer. The key to baking in the air fryer is that you will need to cook until the muffins are done. This time will vary a few minutes depending on the type of air fryer you own and where the heating element is located.
- If you find that the tops are getting too browned, add a piece of aluminum foil over the muffins, ensuring that it is snuggly wrapped around the muffin, so there is NO chance that the foil hits the heating element.
- You can use either frozen, fresh, or dried cranberries. But you do not need to defrost the cranberries before using them if they are frozen.
- This recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc.
How To Store These Muffins
Depending on how many you made, if you want to store the extra one, place the Air Fryer Cranberry Muffin into an airtight container.
If you leave it at room temperature, it will last for 1 to 2 days. You can always reheat it in the microwave or the air fryer before serving.
How To Freeze
If you want to freeze a batch for a future breakfast or dessert, let it cool to room temperature and then place it in an airtight container or freezer bag. It will last in the freezer for 1 to 2 months.
To use from frozen, let them thaw at room temperature or in the refrigerator overnight. They can be reheated in the air fryer or microwave before serving.
What Is The Best Type of Cranberries To Use For These?
Today, I used frozen cranberries, but you might not be able to find them, depending on the time of year and where you live.
Some other great alternatives are Fresh Cranberries or Dried Cranberries. If you use frozen cranberries, throw them in frozen; otherwise, they will get too watery as you defrost them.
What Is The Best Muffin Tins To Use For the Air Fryer?
If you do not have a muffin tin that will fit in your air fryer, you can always use ramekins. They are one of the best tools for baking in your air fryer.
I always recommend using it at home, but if you do not have any, this is a great set (affiliate link included).
The cooking time will vary based on how large your muffin is, but the key to remember is to bake until they are thoroughly done. See the tips above.
