And for me, that means sausage patties. This easy breakfast sausage recipe is perfect for lazy mornings when you don’t have time to cook something complicated. Plus, it’s way healthier than eating processed sausage from the grocery store. Give it a try!

Ingredients Needed For Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage Balls
Cooks who own an air fryer know the appliance is perfect for making delicious and crispy sausage balls. But what ingredients are needed to make this breakfast favorite? Keep reading to find out.
- Ground Pork: Use great ground pork, you can even use maple ground pork, for even more flavor.
- Shredded Hash Browns: You can use homemade or store-bought.
- Bisquick: I added a recipe below for homemade Bisquick.
- Crumbled Bacon: Use your favorite bacon, make sure it’s fully cooked.
- Diced Ham: Make sure your ham is cooked, this is a great recipe for leftover ham.
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese: You can use cheddar cheese, Mexican cheese, or Colby Jack Cheese, for even more flavor!
- Eggs: Use large, room temperature eggs
- Cream Cheese: For added flavor, I used chive cream cheese, but you can use regular or low-fat cream cheese.
- Seasonings/Spices: Salt, and Black Pepper
How To Cook Breakfast Sausage Balls In Air Fryer
Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Use a wooden spoon or a dough whisk to combine.
Use a 3 tbsp cookie dough or ice cream scoop to make uniform-sized balls, if unavailable use a spoon to make golf ball-sized balls.
Place onto a baking sheet as you work. Place the baking sheet into the freezer for 10 minutes before cooking. While waiting for the sausage balls to set in the freezer, preheat the air fryer to 370* for 5 minutes.
How Long To Cook Sausage Balls In Air Fryer
Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange sausage balls in a single layer. Cook for 9 minutes, stopping halfway through to flip.
Arrange sausage balls on a platter and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with spicy maple syrup dip. Enjoy!

- Sausage: This is a great recipe for using any type of sausage you have. I’ve used it with ground pork, Jimmy DeanRegular/Light breakfast link sausages, and Tennessee Pride Ground Sausage links – all were delicious!
- If you want to add more flavor, I would recommend that you use flavored sausages, such as Sag Breakfast Sausage Roll, or even Maple Country Sausage Roll.
- Cheese: Today, I used cheddar chees, but you can use any shredded chees that you like. Some of my recommendations would be either Mexican Cheese, or Pepper Jack, which has a bit to it, for even more flavor!
- Bisquick: I will address this below since I know a lot of readers, are unable to find Bisquick Mix in their area.
