Description

Loaded air fryer sausage balls with hash browns, bacon, ham, and cheddar. Crisp outside, tender inside, just 9 minutes in the air fryer and freezer-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 3 cups shredded hash browns, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • ½ cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup ham, cooked and diced
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 large eggs, whisked
  • 4 ounces chive cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except the parsley to a large mixing bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon or dough whisk just until combined.
  • Using a 3-tablespoon cookie scoop, portion into uniform balls and place on a baking sheet.
  • Freeze the tray for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer to 370°F for 5 minutes.
  • Spray the basket with non-stick spray. Arrange the balls in a single layer without crowding.
  • Cook 9 minutes at 370°F, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm with spicy maple dip.

Equipment

  • 3-tablespoon cookie scoop
  • Instant-read thermometer

Notes

  • Squeeze thawed hash browns completely dry or the mixture won't hold.
  • The 10-minute freeze is what keeps the balls round. Don't skip it.
  • Freeze uncooked for up to 3 months; cook from frozen at 370°F for 14–16 minutes.
  • Reheat at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.
