These Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Tortilla Wraps are packed with flavorful, spiced chicken and fresh veggies, all wrapped in a soft tortilla. Ready in minutes, they make a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner option.

Chicken tikka masala is traditionally prepared with Tandoor (clay oven fired with wood or charcoal) to char the meat and give the dish a bit of earthy aroma and a smoky under-taste. But, as we can’t get Tandoor worldwide, extracting a similar taste is pretty tough.
We can create similar flavors with Air Fryer, but if you want that traditional charred smokey taste without Tandoor, you can grill the chicken until it’s charred after marinating.
Tortilla wrap can never be boring; it is one of those meals which can never get old. This chicken tikka tortilla wrap is super tasty and easy. Juicy and succulent Air fried marinated chicken pieces with amazing mint mayo spread loaded with crunchy veggies wrapped in a tortilla are healthy, satisfying, and feel-good meals that can lift your mood instantly.

How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Tortilla Wraps

Step One: In a pan, take mustard oil and let it heat up. Next, add the gram flour and roast it for a few seconds until fragrant; remove from heat, and set aside.
Step Two: In a bowl, take hung curd, add ginger garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, Kasuri methi, coriander powder, salt, pepper powder, and lime juice, and give it a nice whisk. Next, mix everything properly with the prepared oil and gram flour mixture.

Step Three: Add the chicken pieces, rub and coat the chicken properly in the marinade, add the cubed bell peppers and onions, and let it rest for 6 hours. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F). Brush the basket with little butter and put the marinated chicken pieces in it. Brush a little butter on top. Cook for 4 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for another 4 minutes or until dark golden brown. Repeat with other pieces.
Step Four: Next, put the marinated bell peppers and onion in the basket, cook for 3 minutes, and transfer it to a plate along with the chicken.

- Tortillas (Flour or Corn): Soft flour or corn tortillas, perfect for wrapping fillings.
- Bell Peppers: Fresh, colorful bell peppers, sliced for crunch and flavor.
- Onions: Crisp onions, thinly sliced to add sharp, savory notes.
- Iceberg Lettuce: Crunchy iceberg lettuce leaves, fresh and refreshing for wraps.
- Mayonnaise: Creamy mayonnaise adds richness and binds ingredients together.
- Mint Chutney: Fresh mint chutney for a zesty, vibrant flavor boost.

Step Five: Heat a skillet and warm the tortillas on either side and keep aside. Mix mayonnaise and mint chutney and keep aside. Take a tortilla, spread the mayo and mint chutney in the middle, top it with chicken tikka pieces, air-fried bell peppers, julienned bell peppers, onions, and lettuce. Fold the tortillas by folding the bottom and two sides to make an open wrap. Fold the top and bottom part of the tortilla, rotate it, and roll it from bottom to top.

Easy Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Tortilla Wraps Recipe Tips
- This recipe will work with either Chicken Breast or Chicken Thighs, and if you use chicken thighs, you will need to increase the cooking time.
- Continue to cook your meat until the chicken has an internal temperature of 165 degrees F., use a meat thermometer and check the thickest part of the chicken.
- To keep your chicken moist, baste constantly during the cooking process. You can use either melted butter or cooking spray.
- Any vegetables will work. While onions and peppers are traditional, you can also use squash, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, or mushrooms. This is a great place to add lots of colorful vegetables.
Storing and Make Ahead Instructions
- Storing Instructions: Store leftover Chicken Tikka Tortilla Wraps in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days. Keep the sauce separate if possible to prevent the tortillas from getting soggy.
- Make Ahead Instructions: You can marinate the chicken and chop the vegetables up to a day in advance. Assemble the wraps just before serving for the freshest taste and best texture.

Easy Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Tortilla Wraps Recipe Faqs
Can I use store-bought chicken tikka instead of marinating myself? Yes! Pre-cooked or store-bought chicken tikka works well. Just reheat in the air fryer briefly before assembling the wraps.
Which tortillas work best? Both flour and corn tortillas work, but flour tortillas are easier to fold and roll without tearing.
Can I make these wraps vegetarian? Absolutely! Swap chicken for paneer, tofu, or roasted vegetables for a flavorful vegetarian option.
How long do the wraps stay fresh? Assembled wraps are best eaten immediately. If storing, keep chicken and sauce separate from tortillas for up to 2–3 days.
Can I add extra spice? Yes! Mix in extra chili powder, hot sauce, or more mint chutney to taste.
Can I freeze these wraps? It’s not recommended to freeze assembled wraps because the tortillas can get soggy. You can freeze the cooked chicken separately for later use.
What sides go well with these wraps? Serve with a simple salad, roasted veggies, or air-fried fries for a complete meal.
