How To Make Egg Pumpkins

Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 250°F (120°C). Place the eggs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they’re not overcrowded. Cook for 15–17 minutes for perfectly hard-boiled eggs.

Step 2: Once the eggs are done, transfer them immediately to an ice bath for about 5 minutes. This stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.

Step 3: Gently peel each egg and slice in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
Step 4: Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 5: Use a spoon or a piping bag to fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture. To give them that festive pumpkin design, use a toothpick or small knife to gently carve vertical lines in the yolk filling to mimic pumpkin ridges. Sprinkle with paprika or top with a tiny piece of chive for the “stem.”
Step 6: Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld. Serve chilled and enjoy your adorable, fall-inspired deviled eggs!

Recipe Tips
- Use Older Eggs: Slightly older eggs peel easier after boiling or air frying.
- Don’t Skip the Ice Bath: It makes peeling faster and keeps your eggs perfectly tender.
- Smooth Filling Trick: For an extra creamy texture, blend the yolk mixture with a fork or small food processor.
- Pipe for Precision: Use a piping bag or zip-top bag for neat, pumpkin-like filling swirls.
- Add Color Naturally: A pinch of extra paprika gives a deeper orange hue without artificial coloring.
- Chill Before Serving: Cooling the eggs helps the filling firm up and enhances flavor.
- Make Ahead Friendly: Prepare the filling and egg whites separately, then assemble just before serving.
How To Store Leftovers
Store leftover Pumpkin Deviled Eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep them chilled until ready to serve, and avoid leaving them out at room temperature for long periods.
How Long Do Deviled Eggs Last In The Fridge?
Deviled eggs typically last up to 2–3 days in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container. For the best taste and texture, enjoy them within the first 24–48 hours after making.

What To Serve With Pumpkin Eggs
These festive deviled eggs pair beautifully with a variety of dishes, making them a versatile addition to any holiday spread.
Serve them alongside a crisp green salad or roasted vegetables to balance their richness, or add them to a cheese and charcuterie board for a crowd-pleasing appetizer platter.
They also complement creamy soups, mini sandwiches, or classic Thanksgiving sides like mashed potatoes and roasted sweet potatoes, creating a complete, seasonal meal that’s sure to impress your family and guests.
Faqs
Can I make these ahead of time? Yes! You can prepare the yolk filling and egg whites separately and assemble the deviled eggs a few hours ahead of serving.
Can I use a different garnish? Absolutely! Instead of chives, try parsley, green onions, or a tiny slice of red bell pepper for a festive touch.
How do I make the pumpkin color more vibrant? Add a pinch of extra paprika or a small amount of finely grated carrot to the yolk mixture for a brighter orange hue.
Can I make them spicy? Yes! Add a dash of cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, or a bit of hot sauce to the yolk mixture for a subtle kick.
What type of eggs are best? Slightly older eggs peel more easily after boiling or air frying, making them ideal for deviled eggs.
