Ninja Foodi Cream of Asparagus Soup Recipe Tips

  • When trimming your asparagus, you can either break the ends off with your hands where they naturally want to or use a pair of kitchen shears to cut the ends off.
  • If you don’t have chicken broth, then you can use 3 cups of water and a tablespoon of chicken bouillon powder.
  • If you have fresh garlic, then you can use 2 cloves of freshly minced garlic.
  • You can use an immersion blender instead of a blender if you’d like. Make sure you blend the soup until smooth.
  • Adding cream to this soup helps make it a little richer and smoother.

Storing Instructions

You can store your leftover soup in the fridge for a week. If you are only reheating a single serving, then you can add your soup to a bowl covered with a paper towel and reheat it for about a minute. You’ll want to stir your soup halfway through to help it reheat evenly. If you’d rather reheat all of your leftovers at once, then add them to a large pot. Place the pot over

Ninja Foodi Cream of Asparagus Soup Recipe Faqs

Why do I need to trim my asparagus? Since asparagus grows straight from the ground, their stalks have a tough, wood-like end. While these ends are edible, they are very hard to chew and taste quite bitter. Trimming them will give you the best flavor and will help prevent your soup from being chunky.

What can I use instead of chicken broth? If you don’t have any chicken broth, then there are few other options. You can use vegetable broth or use water. If you are using water, then I recommend doubling all of your spices to make up for the lost flavor of the broth. You can also use vegetable and chicken stock.

Can I freeze my soup? You sure can! To freeze your soup, first let it cool down to room temperature. Once your soup has had some time to cool down, carefully pour it into one or two gallon-sized Ziploc bags and make sure they are completely sealed. Lay your soup as flat as possible in your freezer. You can store your frozen soup for up to 2 months. To reheat your frozen soup, let it thaw in the fridge overnight and then heat it in a large pot over medium-high heat on the stovetop for about 20 minutes.
