How To Make Ninja Creami Nutella Gelato

Mixing milk, cream, Nutella, and other ingredients in a Ninja Creami pint container with a whisk.

Step One: In a mixing bowl or directly in the Ninja Creami pint container, combine milk, heavy cream, dry chocolate mix, sugar, Nutella, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

Step Two: Pour the mixture into the pint container, secure the lid, and freeze for 24 hours.

Step Three: Once frozen, remove the lid and insert the container into the Ninja Creami. Use the “Gelato” setting to churn until smooth.

Step Four: If the texture is crumbly, add a small splash of milk and run the “Re-mix” cycle. Serve immediately for soft gelato or refreeze for a firmer consistency.

Ninja Creami Nutella Gelato Recipe Tips

  • Use Room Temperature Nutella – Softened Nutella blends more easily with the milk and cream, creating a smoother base.
  • Whisk Thoroughly – Make sure all ingredients, especially the Nutella and dry mix, are fully dissolved for a uniform texture.
  • Freeze Flat – Keep the pint container level in the freezer to ensure even freezing and better churning results.
  • Don’t Skip the Re-Spin – If your gelato is crumbly, use the “Re-mix” or “Re-spin” function with a splash of milk to achieve that creamy consistency.
  • Customize It – Stir in mini chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, or swirl extra Nutella after spinning for added texture and flavor.

Storing

Store leftover Ninja Creami Nutella Gelato in the original pint container with the lid tightly sealed. For best texture, enjoy within 1–2 weeks and allow it to soften slightly before serving.

Ninja Creami Nutella Gelato Recipe Faqs

My gelato isn’t as smooth as I’d like. What should I do? If it’s not perfectly creamy, add a small splash of milk and use the “Re-mix” function. This will help smooth out the texture.

Can I add chopped hazelnuts for extra crunch? Definitely! For a crunchy texture, add chopped hazelnuts after the first churn by selecting the “Mix-In” function.

How long will this gelato keep in the freezer? You can store it for up to 1–2 weeks. For best texture, let it sit out at room temperature for a few minutes if it’s been frozen for several days.

Are there any complementary flavors I could add? Absolutely! Try a swirl of chocolate sauce, a sprinkle of sea salt, or a hint of coffee extract for a mocha twist. These can be added during or after the first churn.

Why is dry vanilla ice cream mix included? The dry mix helps with the consistency, adding stabilizers that make the gelato creamy and smooth.
