Pro Tips

  • Use High-Quality, Ripe Fruit: The better your ingredients, the better your sorbet will taste. Choose ripe, in-season fruits for the best flavor.
  • Strain Your Mixture: If making a berry or other fruit sorbet, strain your mixture to remove seeds and pulp. This will result in a smoother, more refined sorbet.
  • Balance Your Sweetener: Sorbet needs some sugar to prevent it from becoming too icy. However, too much can make it overly sweet. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
  • Add a Splash of Alcohol: A small amount of alcohol can help to keep your sorbet from freezing too hard. Just be sure not to add too much, as it could prevent the sorbet from freezing.
  • Chill Your Mixture: Before you add your mixture to the process, make sure it’s thoroughly chilled. This will help it churn into sorbet more effectively.
  • Use the Sorbet Function: If your machine has a dedicated sorbet function, so make sure to use it for the best results.
  • Store Properly: After making your sorbet, store it in an airtight container in the freezer. To serve, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.

Storing

Lemon sorbet is a delicious summer dessert also great for cooling off on hot days. But storing lemon sorbet can be tricky – it must be frozen but not too cold. Fortunately, you can take a few simple steps to keep your lemon sorbet tasting fresh and flavorful for longer.

  • Step 1: Choose an airtight container large enough to hold your lemon sorbet. This will help prevent freezer burn and ensure your sorbet stays fresh longer.
  • Step 2: Next, be sure to store your lemon sorbet in the freezer at all times. This will help keep it from getting too soft or melted, which can affect the texture and flavor of your sorbet.
  • Step 3: Avoid letting your lemon sorbet thaw out completely before eating it.

My sorbet is too hard. What can I do to fix it? If your sorbet is too hard, you may have used too little sugar or sweetener, an anti-freeze in sorbets. You can also let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften it up.

What other desserts can I make in the Ninja Creami Machine? In addition to sorbet and ice cream, the Ninja Creami Machine can make milkshakes, smoothie bowls, and frozen cocktails. The possibilities are endless!

Can I add mix-ins to my sorbet? You can add chunks of fruit or chocolate chips to your sorbet. Just be sure to add them towards the end of the churning process so they don’t get broken up too much.
