The directory to all of my air fryer recipes,
Sometimes, new appliances smell, they have an odor that emits. This not limited to air fryers, but the question comes up a lot in our air fryer group, so today I wanted to take a minute and discuss it and offer a few solutions,
The first suggestion that I would make is to really make sure that there is nothing lodged in the fan, which is above the basket. This may sound silly, because you already unboxed your air fryer, but we have had quite a few members, find an extra piece of styrofoam floating around.
Then I would ask you to read your ownér’s manual, they might have SPECIFIC guidelines, some models say to run your air fryer for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F, to burn off any odor. I would suggest that if you have a safe place outside, you do this, otherwise, I would suggest that you open a window, to let any fumes out.
If that does not work, here are my suggestions.
- In a small bowl, obviously air fryer safe, add a cup of vinegar.
2. Then set the air fryer at 300 degrees F, for 5 minutes.
3. Then I wash everything that is dishwasher safe (see manual) in the dishwasher, and they use it with my favorite recipe.
Here are some other tips, if you are new to the air frying world,
