Copycat Tim Hortons Chili Recipe Tips

  • Use lean ground beef: This keeps your chili hearty without too much grease, making it closer to Tim Hortons’ version.
  • Don’t skip the mushrooms: They add bulk and an earthy flavor that’s key to the authentic taste.
  • Adjust spice to taste: Add the second tablespoon of chili powder at the end if you prefer extra heat.
  • Let it rest before serving: Allowing the chili to sit for 10–15 minutes helps the flavors deepen.
  • Great for leftovers: Chili tastes even better the next day, making it perfect for meal prep.
